REGULAR MEETING

JANUARY 20, 2026

MINUTES

The Tecumseh Cemetery Advisory Board held a regular scheduled meeting January 20, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at the Tecumseh Historical Society & Museum, 114 S. Broadway, Tecumseh, Oklahoma. The Notice of Meeting was posted in accordance with the Oklahoma State Statues.

Briana Tubbs, Secretary

Chairman, J. Cooper called the meeting at 3:30 p.m. The secretary called the roll and there was a quorum present.

The board members reviewed the minutes of October 21, 2025. Shantel McCray made a motion to approve the minutes. Jan Parker seconded the motion.

Motion passed and approved.

The financial statement was reviewed. The cemetery CD’s will mature in March 2026. Chairman J. Cooper would like to look into potentially investing for a longer period if there are no anticipated expenditures for the cemetery.

The Cemetery Board reviewed sales for 2025. Burial numbers have decreased since 2024. Chairman J. Cooper would like the secretary to contact other cemeteries and inquire about their interment numbers.

The advisory board discussed the south entrance of the cemetery on Benson Park Rd.

Chairman, J. Cooper brought to attention the need to widen the roads to allow two vehicles to drive on the road without having to pull off into the grass.

No new business was discussed.

J Cooper made a motion to adjourn. Shantel McCray seconded the motion.
